A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the month between Intercontinental Hotel Group and Kenya Utalii College. The MOU is aimed at:

·         Training and exposing students as future employees of the hotel;

·         Expose KUC staff to the standards and practices by IHG;

·         Training of IHG staff and their exposure to KUC facilities and resources.

The industry needs to actively participate in working with KUC to enhance high standards of rendering its services. Hence there is need for more collaboration between the industry and KUC

The KUC-IHG collaboration is a pilot project and is seen as an opportunity for other groups that are able to provide any other form of exposure to come on board thereafter.
