The Association together with other stakeholders in Mombasa met the Mombasa County Commissioner Mr. Marwa over security concerns in the region.

The major issues discussed were how to improve the security situation in the County as well as to seek support on enhancing security in Hotels.

The Commissioner commended the hotels for their elaborate security arrangements which he said were a sign of preparedness and asked all members to apply standard procedures in all their units

He promised to facilitate security arrangements for huge tourists groups on transit within the region. He also promised to address the corruption allegations at the recently mounted roadblocks in the region.
