The Association met with the County Government of Mombasa, at a meeting that was attended by stakeholders in the tourism industry as well as representatives from six other County Governments in the expansive Coast region.

Among the highlights was the resolve to have the County Governments pull resources for a dedicated marketing initiative to promote the Coast destination as well as fast track the beach laws as well as liquor laws to enable the tourism industry adopt the devolved functions and streamline the operations within the sector.

The meeting was attended by the National Chairman and C.E.O and graced by the Mombasa County Governor, Dep. Governor as well as the Senator.  A working committee between the industry and the County Government has also been formed to work on engaging other external players with a view to convince more flights to Mombasa.
