MISS TOURISM KENYA SET TO PROMOTE THE REGION

The Executive Officer and the Chairman Amboseli/Tsavo region led other members in discussing a workable proposal on how to utilize the Miss Tourism Crown currently held by  Anne Wughanga, 21, from Taita Taveta County who beat 41 other contestants to emerge this year’s Miss Tourism Kenya at the grand finale held on the southwest shores of the Indian Ocean in Mombasa and attended by Governors, Senators and Members of Parliament, who came in support of the cause and rooted for their favorite contestants. The beauty pageant, the first of its kind, was launched to promote the 47 counties as investment and tourism destinations.

 Following the win, the Taita Taveta County government partnered with  KAHC and other tourism stakeholder to promote the county  tourism as well as an investment destination.
