The Association held a breakfast meeting with NEMA in the course of the month which was attended by the NEMA Director General and other senior staff at the Authority. This was an effort to enhance dialogue and address challenges in implementation of the Environmental  Management and Control and Act (EMCA) and the NEMA regulations.

 Proposals for incentives were made by the Association to the Authority, both at policy and technical levels. As a way forward the DG agreed to resuscitate the Technical Committee to address some of the issues hindering compliance by the industry. He also promised to incorporate KAHC in the Committee so that the industry concerns can be addressed appropriately.
